Meet the Artist & Founder

Payalh Bhalanni

MA, MFA

"I believe every single person has a creative spark waiting to be discovered. ColorCue is the place where that spark becomes a flame."

Creating art since 2012, her path to launching the studio was beautifully unconventional. She initially studied civil engineering, but her deep passion for visual expression led her to pivot completely. Following her true calling, she went on to earn both her Master of Arts (MA) and Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Studio Arts.

This unique background gives her a rare perspective as an educator—combining the precision and structural thinking of engineering with the fluid, boundless imagination of fine art.

Her Goal

Her ultimate goal in founding ColorCue Art Studio was to demystify the art world and strip away the pressure of “perfection.” She wanted to build a welcoming sanctuary where people of all ages and skill levels could experience the therapeutic, joyful, and messy process of creation. Through structured yet playful instruction, she aims to give every student the tools they need to express themselves confidently. When she isn’t teaching a workshop, you can find her experimenting with vibrant new textures, mediums, and styles in her studio.
